COMPARE LYRIQ vs. MODEL Y

Cadillac LYRIQ vs. Tesla Model Y: Which Fully Electric Luxury SUV Wins in Jefferson City?

With the new Cadillac LYRIQ, you can go green without sacrificing style, luxury, or performance. This fully electric luxury SUV has a plush, feature-rich interior and a smooth, buttery ride. The new Tesla Model Y impresses with its driving range, but it's not as refined as the LYRIQ. Rusty Drewing Cadillac has the LYRIQ in our new inventory near Jefferson City, MO, and we've prepared the following comparison to the Model Y so you can see why it's better.

Performance

You'll want a calm, relaxing ride on the way home from work in St. Louis, and the new Cadillac LYRIQ delivers. Its five-link independent suspension with Passive-Plus Premium Dampers absorbs the impact of most road irregularities for a silky ride on paved streets.

The new Tesla Model Y's somewhat stiff suspension can feel jarring when driving around in the city.

Interior Quality

Inside, the new Cadillac LYRIQ has the lavish look and feel you expect from a luxury crossover. Its ultramodern cockpit has a dazzling 33-inch curved LED display spanning much of the dash. Columbia drivers will like the genuine open-pore wood trim pieces and aluminum accents adorning the LYRIQ's cabin.

The Tesla Model Y's interior was built with mediocre materials that don't fit together particularly well. Its plain design is too conservative for some people.

Cabin Options

Both the new Cadillac LYRIQ and the new Tesla Model Y come standard with synthetic leather upholstery. However, meticulous Kansas City drivers will appreciate that the LYRIQ offers optional Nappa leather upholstery, a hands-free power liftgate, and illuminated front doorsill plates.

The Telsa Model Y doesn't offer Nappa leather seating, a hands-free power liftgate, or illuminated front doorsill plates.

Passenger Space

You'll have ample room to relax in the new Cadillac LYRIQ, which has over 105 cubic feet of passenger volume. Taller people in Springfield will appreciate that the LYRIQ has more than 39 inches of backseat legroom.

The new Tesla Model Y only has 26.5 inches of rear legroom.

Tech Features

In-car technology should be easy to use so that you won't be distracted while you're driving in Sedalia. The new Cadillac LYRIQ's infotainment system has vivid graphics, fast responses, and several physical knobs and buttons for controlling climate functions. Its Google-based interface has a voice assistant system that lets you control some features with voice commands. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot come standard in the LYRIQ.

The new Tesla Model Y has a distracting infotainment arrangement with no traditional gauge cluster. Critical information like current speed is moved to the infotainment touchscreen, so drivers have to redirect their attention to the dashboard's center to see it. The Model Y's system has very few physical knobs and buttons, and neither Apple Carplay nor Android Auto integration are supported.
